  • The Israeli operation began in the early hours of 3 July, with airstrikes followed by large numbers of ground troops entering the area and exchanging fire
  • The two day operation resulted in casualties, internal displacement, and damage to buildings & infrastructure – including electricity, water, and sewage networks
  • The Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) states 12 Palestinians, including 4 children, were killed in the operation
  • The MoH states a further 143 Palestinians were injured, 20 of which are in critical condition
  • Initial estimates from local authorities indicate over 500 Palestinian families (more than 3,500 people) were displaced by the operation
  • Overnight between 4 and 5 July, Israeli forces withdrew from Jenin city and the Jenin Refugee Camp
