School children in Gaza are traumatised from their daily life experiences of living in a conflict zone. This project continues to provide the urgently needed mental health support they require.

Al Makassed Charitable Hospital is the largest Arab hospital in East Jerusalem, with 250 beds and 80 ICU beds (including 16 paediatric beds).

With the absence of a comprehensive sight and hearing screening programme in Gaza, children’s (0-5 years of age) sight and hearing difficulties and disabilities may go undetected – which can severely affect a child’s academic attainment.

By mid-2021 when this project started, it was almost a year after the Beirut Port explosion,^[1] which compounded the ongoing economic, political, and COVID-19 crises, as the economic situation worsened in Lebanon.
