1. Introduction
1.1 The Welfare Association website allows you to make a donation to support our work by debit card, credit card and PayPal by following the instructions on the website.
1.2 By using the website to make a donation you indicate your agreement to these terms of service. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms of service, you should not use the website to make a donation.
1.3 Welfare Association may amend or update these terms of service from time to time. It is your responsibility to check these terms of service whenever you make a donation using the website. The most recent version of these terms of service will govern your use of the website in the future.
2. Making donations and reclaiming Gift Aid
2.1 You can make donations by following the instructions on the website. Donations can be made by debit card, credit card or by transferring money through PayPal.
2.2 As a registered charity Welfare Association receives donations through this website and these funds are sent to the project or appeal for which the donor specifies.
2.3 When you make a donation using the website and confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme, from time to time we will reclaim Gift Aid on your donation under the Gift Aid scheme and add this to your gift. Further details about this will be given when you use the website to make a donation. Please note that Welfare Association is not a financial, tax or accounting adviser and you should not rely on information on the website to determine the financial, tax or accounting treatment of any donation which you make using the website.
3. Donation Refund Policy
3.1 Due to the nature of charity donations refunds are given at the discretion of charity management and we will review any request on a case by case basis. Therefore please make sure that the amount you enter is the amount you wish to give. In the event that a donation is made as a result of fraud or misuse or in the event of accidental duplicate transactions, we will happily refund your donation, provided that you contact us within 14 days of the donation being made. We will deduct a small administration fee of 2% to cover the costs of refunding your donation. Please note that if you made your donation by card, your refund will be credited to the same card.
3.2 To request a refund, please call 020 7259 2454 or email [email protected] with the subject 'Donation refund' and include your name and address and the donation amount that you would like refunded and why.
3.3 If you become aware that your card has been used fraudulently, please contact your card provider. If you become aware of any fraudulent use of your debit card, credit card or PayPal account you should report this to your card operator or to PayPal in accordance with their reporting rules.
4. Changes to the service
4.1 Welfare Association will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the website and the ability to make donations through the website is available continuously but retains the right to modify, suspend or terminate the website and the ability to make donations through the website from time to time without notice. Except as otherwise specified, any new features, services or functionality of the website which are introduced will be subject to these terms of service.
5. Your privacy
5.1 Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy. The Welfare Association will not pass your personal details to other people or organisations. The Welfare Association does not sell or rent user information to anyone.
6. Governing law
6.1 These terms of service are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
